Bloated belly has never looked good on anyone and that’s why everyone hates it, including the discomfort that comes with it.
Bloating largely occurs after heavy meals, but for some individuals it’s a normal phenomenon in their daily life.
What causes bloating?
1. Inadequate water intake
When your body lacks water due dehydration, it uses the fluids from its tissues. This may cause bloating due to fluid retention.
Therefore, drink plenty of water.
2. Chronic stress
Stress can cause bloating by undermining the proper functioning of your digestive system.
The bloating can occur as a result of constipation or stomach ache. It’s advisable to avoid negative emotions and you’ll solve the problem completely.
3. Constipation
When you don’t get enough fiber, you may experience constipation.
Hence, you need to include plenty of fiber-rich foods in your diet. Whole grains, berries, and smoothies, are some of the foods you should consider eating.
4. Carbohydrates
You can get bloated when you eat carbs in excess.
Hence, you should eat low-carb foods, and reduce your intake of alcohol and sugar.
5. Eating too fast
Improperly chewed food is slowly digested. This causes bloating.
Hence, take small bites, and chew them properly.
