Dangers of Nail Polish in our Health and Its Natural Substitute


The vast majority of almost every women is to have a clean and painted nails. But, majority of them ignore the chemical components that are toxic and can cause serious damage to the body. Maybe it look pleasant in the eye but we didn’t know it can cause disease and put your health in danger.



A latest study has found that many of the most popular nail polish brands are far more harmful than they appear.


The researchers tested 32 women who painted their nails to detect signs of chemical toxins in their body. They found an amount of toxins in their body in each of them. 

The results indicated that 100% of the contributors showed signs of triphenyl phosphateonly ten hours after applying nail polish.

In a follow-up study, the same researchers tested ten different nail polishes and found that eight of them contained this chemical. Moreover, two of the nail polishes that tested positive for triphenyl phosphate did not indicate on the label containing this chemical compound. This could mean that up to twenty percent of the nail polishes that are sale in the market contain a dangerous chemical that does not appear in its list of ingredients.


What is triphenyl phosphate?

One of the main concerns about triphenylphosphate is that it disturbs the endocrine system of humans. It can affect the hormone regulation, reproduction, metabolism and growth.

This is particularly risky for girls who use nail polish frequently, since healthy hormonal development is a necessary part of their growth. However, triphenyl phosphate poses a serious risk to the health of anyone who used and exposed to it.

Formaldehyde

Formaldehyde is known carcinogen that can liquefy in water and air. Exposure to this chemical can also produce symptoms such as clinging, shortness of breath and asthma. Those with chronic diseases are especially vulnerable to formaldehyde poisoning.

Toluene

This chemical is well-known to prevent development and growth in children, though, some scientists found traces of it in breast milk. In addition, it can be irritating to the skin when you expose from it.
