In My Entire Life I Didn't Know That I'm Washing My Hair Wrong!! This Is How I Actually Do It..

Hair can be quite changeable. Sometimes it looks so nice while sometimes it can be extremely messy.

Of course, everyone wants their hair to be soft when they run their fingers through the hair, but when they have dry hair or dandruff, this can be almost impossible.

Sometimes as little as one hair wash can do the trick and you hair becomes soft and beautiful. However, this is only temporal. To keep these effects for longer, you should do this the right way. Below you have a list of the most common mistakes people make when it comes to washing their hair.

1. You wait as long as you can between washes

Simply, it is up to you. You can wash your hair once a week during winter and on a daily basis during summer. Remember, you should do it whenever it feels like washing.

2. You shampoo every wash

If you shower every day, don’t shampoo the hair every wash. This may cause opposite results, causing your scalp to dry.

3. You scrub your scalp

Don’t scrub the scalp, but run your fingers through the hair gently instead. This method prevents damage and breakage.

4. Hot showers

Although hot showers are good for the body, they are not beneficial for the hair. The hotness dries out the scalp and this is why you should rinse the hair with cold or lukewarm water.

5. You use too many shampoos

It is recommended to stick to one shampoo as experimenting a lot may damage your hair.

6. Pouring on the shampoo

Don’t pour too much shampoo! Using a coin size will do the trick.

7. You towel dry your hair

Never rub the wet hair with a towel as wet hair is very fragile. Pat try gently instead!

8. Brushing your hair

As mentioned above, wet hair is very fragile. Therefore, instead of brushing it while it is wet, gently shampoo in order to prevent breakage.

9. You always shampoo your scalp

Don’t shampoo the scalp at all times. Sometimes, begin with the nape of the neck.

10. You don’t soak your hair

Many people make a mistake by not letting the hair completely soak prior to shampooing.

11. Shampooing your whole head

Shampoo the roots and condition the ends instead of shampooing the whole head.
